Dear Friend,

Did you know that your mind is a battlefield? It’s true. It’s in our minds and thoughts that the devil tries to deceive us.

When an elephant is born, they tie him to a small stake so he won’t wander off. The baby elephant tries to get loose, but he can’t. He’s not strong enough as a baby to pull loose. In time, the elephant grows and weighs a few tons, but now that he is bigger, he doesn’t even try to break loose from the small stake. Of course, at his size, he could pull down the whole circus tent! However, he won’t even try because he’s been conditioned since birth to think he can’t do it.

My point is that, like the elephant, we’ve been conditioned our whole life to think that we can’t do certain things. But just because you’ve been conditioned to think a certain way doesn’t mean you can’t change. The devil’s always filling our minds with lies to keep us down, to get us to a point where we won’t even try anymore.

In the past maybe you couldn’t break loose, but you’re not in the past anymore. Now, if you’ve been born again, you have the Holy Spirit to help you.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:26,27 (NKJV)

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you do what seems impossible. He will teach you and help you. He will show you how to break loose from anything that is tying you down. You are born again and you belong to Him!
